Strong Thunderstorms over the Southern U.P.

A disturbance set off scattered thunderstorms early today over northern Lake Superior. The disturbance is dropping rapidly southeastward and has caused some strong thunderstorms over the central U.P. They are moving quickly to the southeast and have produced strong winds and hail. The thunderstorms will diminish quickly this evening as the distubance moves away and we lose heating from the sun.
