ESCANABA --

The city of Escanaba is celebrating its Fourth of July celebration by holding 'Family Day in the Park' in Ludington Park.

The Rotary Club sponsors Day in the Park.

It's the twentieth year the event has been held.

Last year the club raised over $2,000 on all the concessions.

This year their booth included a ring toss game.

All the money raised goes towards their scholarships and kids' programs.

There were a lot of games and inflatable bounce houses for the kids.

“The children just love it,” says Dale Veraghen, owner of Abracadabra Jumps. “They have a lot of fun. We give a good percentage back to the organization that's putting this on. We try to help put money back into the community at the same time."

The festivities at the park started at 1 p.m. and last until the end of the fireworks display.
