Finlandia Women’s Softball Coach, Shawn Hendrickson,  has been invited to coach and instruct at the USA Preps Mizuno Northern California Instructional camp in Fresno, CA this July.

Coach Hendrickson is one of just twenty coaches invited from across the nation to take part in this nationally recognized camp/clinic and only one of three Division III level coaches. This gives not only Coach Hendrickson and the Lion’s softball program an opportunity to work and recruit some of the best players in the nation, but also helps to put the Finlandia softball program on the National map.

At this event, 2017 graduates and older will participate in advanced individual skills instruction provided by invited and current college coaches--receive a professional evaluation from the college coaches including home to first and catcher pop times, fielding, throwing, and catcher blocking tips to improve performance, and pitching instruction to improve velocity and movement.  These sessions are designed to instruct EVERY participant in real game situations (all pitchers pitch/all batters bat) at the collegiate level!

Coach Hendrickson will work within all areas, but he will concentrate mainly on effective and aggressive base running techniques, fielding and hitting.
