Escanaba football coach Dan Flynn set to retire

Longtime coach led the Eskymos for 26 seasons
ESCANABA -- Just after 3 p.m. eastern time today (2/6), long time Escanaba head football coach Dan Flynn retired from his postion. Flynn has been with the program since 1971. He was promoted to Head Coach in 1986 and spent the last 26 years in that postion.
This past season, Flynn led the Eskymos to a 7-4 record with a playoff win over Ludington before exiting the following week in a 25-15 loss to Alma. According to our count at TV6 Sports, Flynn had a 136-110 record as head coach and led Escanaba to five District Finals appearences in 1999, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2011.
