BARK RIVER -- Leading in points for the 1600 Buggy race was local Brad Erickson of Wilson who worked his way into second place and held that position to pick up a few more points to pad that lead in the standings.

He'll go into tomorrow with the lead once again, but says Saturday he had to work for that silver medal position.

"We spun out first corner and made our way back up into second, so pretty happy with that, salvaging second place out of it," said Erickson.  "You can have a strategy but it don't always work, and you kind of got to take what is given to you, you know when you start in the back like that."

With the crowd cheering him every step of the way, Felch's Chad Hord took third in the AMSOIL PRO 2WD and remains third in the points.  He gains on leader Rob MacCachren, but loses ground to Bryce Menzies who took today's race and is second in points.
