CHICAGO (AP) -- Miguel Cabrera, Ryan Raburn and Austin Jackson homered during an eight-run rally in the sixth inning Tuesday and the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago White Sox 10-8.

Chicago starter Jake Peavy sailed into the sixth with a 6-0 lead before Cabrera hit a long two-run homer.

Raburn hit a three-run homer off Peavy and Jackson hit a three-run drive off Will Ohman (0-2).

Chicago loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth against Tigers closer Jose Valverde, who had to leave with an apparent injury and was replaced by Octavio Dotel.

Alexei Ramirez's two-run double made it 10-8. But Dotel got Dayan Viciedo to fly out to the right-field fence for his first save in two chances.

Chicago's A.J. Pierzynski was 5 for 5 with three RBIs.
