DETROIT (AP) -- Chone Figgins hit a tiebreaking double with two outs in the seventh inning, and the Seattle Mariners completed a three-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a 5-4 victory Thursday.
Justin Smoke hit a three-run homer and Miguel Olivo also connected for the Mariners.
Figgins was 3 for 4 with a run and a stolen base to help Seattle reach the .500 mark at 10- 10.
Miguel Cabrera hit his sixth homerun for the Tigers, who have lost six of seven to fall to 10-9 after a 9-3 start.
Figgins' drive to right-center was misjudged by right fielder Brennan Boesch and scored Brendan Ryan, who walked with two outs.
Former Tiger Charlie Furbush (1-1) pitched a perfect inning to get the win and Brandon League got a double play to get out of a first and second, one out jam the ninth for his seventh save.
After the game the Tigers released slumping third baseman Brandon Inge. Inge is batting .100 (2 for 20) with a homerun and two RBIs this season.
The 34-year-old Inge is in his 12th season in the majors, all in Detroit. He played mostly third base for the Tigers, but has also caught, played in the outfield and second base.
Inge is a career .234 hitter with 140 homers and 589 RBIs.
He was the lone player remaining from the Tigers' 2003 team that lost 119 games.
