Nomination #1 Garbage time turns special: In the Ishpeming-Negaunee District Final, the Miners are ahead 54-35 late in the 4th quarter. The Hematites send Eric Dompierre, who has Down Syndrome, into the game and he launches a three pointer and hits nothing but net as fans from both schools rise and give a standing ovation.

Nomination #2 Miner defense digs in: Negaunee up just one against Iron Mountain in the Regional Final last week, digs in their heels on defense and the last chance shot by the Mountaineers falls just wide as the Miners win back-to-back Regional titles with a 47-46 win.

Nomination #3 Take a Beau: Beau Caster of the Marquette Youth Wrestling team takes down an opponent with a nice flip move, then Norway High School state wrestling qualifier Bill Burkland gives him the pin.
