Michigan Tech football player Todd Storm (Calumet, Mich.) has earned a spot on two different All-America teams released this week. The senior defensive end earned All-America honors from the America Football Coaches Association and All-America Second Team accolades from Daktronics, which is selected by the nation’s sports information directors.

Storm joins Phil Milbrath (2010) and Joe Berger (2004) as the only Huskies to be selected to the AFCA All-America team. The Division II coaches select only a first team made up of 25 players—11 on offense, 11 on defense and three on special teams.

Storm was the catalyst for a Tech team that led the GLIAC in total defense (286 yards allowed per game) and scoring defense (17.7 points allowed per game). The team co-captain posted 68 tackles and 7.5 sacks on the season. He ranked second in the GLIAC in sacks per game and was third in the league in tackles for loss (14.5) en route to being named GLIAC Defensive Lineman of the Year for a second straight season. Storm finished his career with 18.5 sacks—third-most all-time at Michigan Tech.

Daktronics released an All-America First and Second Team this year. Storm had earned All-America honorable mention from both Daktronics and Don Hansen’s Football Gazette last year.
