GR West Catholic too powerful for Menominee in Regionals

GRAND RAPIDS -- In Division 5, Menominee visits Grand Rapids West Catholic.

Falcons quarterback Tom Staskawitz lobs a pass to Kyle O'hearn for a 78-yard touchdown to give West Catholic a 28-7 lead in the third quarter.

Tanner Maccoux hits Bobby Olson with a TD pass to cut the deficit to 14, then Maccoux takes off on a 56-yard run around the far side.

Menominee trailed 28-20 after the extra point was blocked, but the Falcons repeat as regional champs with a 55-34 win.

Menominee ends the year 9-3.
