TRAVERSE CITY -- Two Delta County high school softball teams will be in state semifinals Friday in Battle Creek.

Gladstone blanked Manistee 7-0 in a Division Three Quarterfinal.  Pitcher Mackenzie Shepeck dominated in the circle, striking out ten, walking just one and allowing two hits to the Chippewas.

Whitney Wells was three-for-three with three stolen bases.

Gladstone will face Clinton Friday at one o'clock in the semifinal.

Rapid River cruised past Manistee Catholc Central 10-0 in a Division Four Quarterfinal.

Pitcher Heather Sanderson struck out eleven and allowed only one hit. At the plate Sanderson had four hits in the leadoff spot.  Sanderson was first in the order because centerfielder Ashley Hough couldn't play.  Hough twisted her knee in Saturday's regional final against Hillman.

Ashleigh Monticello had four hits and four rbi for the Rockets.

Rapid River faces Unionville Sebewaing Friday at eleven o'clock in Battle Creek in one semfinal.
