Huskie basketball inks local basketball star
ESCANABA -- At Saturday 's Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame, Superior Central's Jordan Chartier announced his plans to attend Michigan Tech University to play basketball for the school next year.
Chartier received a U.P. Hall of Fame scholarship at Saturday's banquet. In the last two years the 2011 Class D Co-player of the Year led his school to back-to-back appearences at the Breslin Center in East Lansing for the State Semifinals.
He was named First Team Class D by the Associated Press as well as First Team Class D by the Detroit Free Press.
Chartier scored 1, 255 points in his career, averageing 18 points a game as well as 6.5 assists per contest in 2010-2011.
