EAST LANSING -- Game Box Score

In the end, the defending Class D Girls State Champion, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes, were just too tough.  Bark River-Harris turned the ball over far too much, and the result was a 53-35 loss at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.

The Broncos continued their trend of turning over the ball during the third quarter and saw the Waterford Our Lady lead grow from eight at the half to fifteen after the third (46-31).  The Lakers also outrebounded Bark River on the offensive glass 12 to 6 after 24 minutes of play.

Bark River-Harris trailed 28-20 after two quarters.  The Lakers hit four three pointers in the first half and used its 2-3 zone and full court press to cause 16 Bronco turnovers.  The Lakers scored 13 points off those turnovers despite holding Our Lady to 27 percent shooting.  The Broncos shot 35 percent in the first half.

We'll have complete highlights of the game on your TV6 Late News tonight.
