For the second consecutive week a Northern Michigan University soccer player has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week.  This week it was Jessica Baker who picked up the honor.  The sophomore goalkeeper from Holt, Mich. recorded two shutouts last week.

Baker kept No. 2 Grand Valley State scoreless for 91:39 as NMU recorded a 1-0 overtime upset of the Lakers Sunday.  She tallied eight saves against GVSU and recorded six saves in a 0-0 tie (2OT) with Ferris State Friday.

Baker currently ranks third in the GLIAC with a 0.45 goal-against average.
