The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team announces its schedule for the 2010-11 season.  NMU will play 11 games at the Berry Events Center.  The Wildcats open the season with three straight games on the road, before coming home to face Finlandia in the home opener (Nov. 23).

NMU faces UM-Duluth (Nov. 15) and then will play two games at the Quincy Tournament (Nov. 19-20) the first three games of the season.  After facing Finlandia, the ‘Cats are back on the road for two more games at the Concordia-St. Paul Tournament (Nov. 26-27). 

The month of December finds the ‘Cats with four straight home games.   NMU hits the court against Michigan Tech (Dec. 4) to open up Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.  The ‘Cats venture out of conference next by facing UW-Parkside (Dec. 11) before GLIAC foes Grand Valley State (Dec. 18) and Ferris State (Dec. 19) visit Marquette. 

After Christmas the ‘Cats make an Ohio swing with games at Ohio Dominican (Dec. 30) and Tiffin (Jan. 2).  NMU tangles with MTU in Houghton the second Saturday of January (Jan. 8).  The next two weeks the ‘Cats have a pair of games at home and on the road.  NMU faces Saginaw Valley State (Jan. 13) and Lake Superior State (Jan. 15) at The Berry before embarking on a road swing to Allendale for a game at Grand Valley State (Jan. 20) and Big Rapids to tip-off against Ferris State (Jan. 22).

During the final week of the first month of the year the ‘Cats host Hillsdale (Jan. 27) and Northwood (Jan. 29).  NMU will play the first three games of the final month of the regular season on the road against Wayne State (Feb. 3), Findlay (Feb. 5) and Lake Superior State (Feb. 10). 

The ‘Cats entertain GLIAC newcomer Lake Erie College (Feb. 17) and Ashland (Feb. 19) for the final two home games of the regular season.  NMU concludes the regular season on the road with games at Northwood (Feb. 24) and Saginaw Valley State (Feb. 26).
