NMU icers make All-CCHA Teams

Northern Michigan University landed two players on the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) All-Conference First Team.  Mark Olver and Erik Gustafsson were the Wildcats selected to the first team.

Olver, the CCHA scoring champion for the 2009-10 season, received the most first-place votes (10) and recorded the most points (53) in voting.  Teammate Gustafsson, the lone holdover from the 2009 CCHA First Team, accumulated the most votes (45) among defensemen after leading all blueliners in scoring during conference play.

In 27 CCHA games during the 2009-10 season, Olver registered 35 points on 17 goals and 18 assists.  Overall through 35 games, Olver has 19 goals, 27 assists for 46 points.  Gustaffson played in all 28 CCHA games during the season as he had a goal, 21 assists for 22 points.  Overall, Gustafsson has 28 points on three goals and 25 assists.

Brian Stewart received honorable mention accolades to the team.  Currently for the season, Stewart is 15-9-7 with a 2.39 goal-against average and a .919 save-percentage.  Greger Hanson was the final member of the NMU team listed as he picked up votes in the balloting.  Hanson currently has 33 points for the season with 13 goals and 20 assists.
