NMU diver qualifies for Nationals

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan University diver Kelli Vander Baan has qualified for the 2010 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships as a result of her performance last weekend at the Point Invite which was held at UW-Stevens Point.  On the 3-meter board, Vander Baan won the event with 422.15 points.  She had to score 420 points or more to qualify for the championships.  Vander Baan placed second on the 1-meter board with 394.75 points.  The qualifying standard for the championships was 390 points. 

The swimming and diving championships will be held in Canton, Ohio, March 10-13, 2010.
