Speedskater Wolf breaks own world record in 500

KEARNS, Utah (AP) — Jenny Wolf of Germany has broken her own speedskating world record at 500 meters.

Wolf skated the race in 37 seconds in Friday's World Cup final at the Utah Olympic Oval, bettering her old mark of 37.02. She skated in the final pair against China's Wang Beixing, who finished second in 37.15.

Lee Sang-Hwa of South Korea was third in 37.24. Elli Ochowicz set an American record in finishing sixth in 37.74.
