GREEN BAY -- Former Michigan Technological University football player Drew Vanderlin has been signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

Packers executive vice president, general manager and director of football operations Ted Thompson made the announcement on Wednesday.

Vanderlin took part in the Packers' rookie orientation camp last May after graduating from Michigan Tech with a degree in exercise science last December. The 6'3", 288-pound defensive end finished his collegiate career second on Tech's all-time sacks chart with 20.

He was a two-time all-GLIAC first team selection. Vanderlin will wear jersey no. 97 with the Packers.
