Latest news, weather, high school sports for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

The Marquette and Kingsford boys and girls ski teams have qualified for the state finals on February 28.

The Marquette girls were second while the boys were third in their Division One regional at Schuss Mountain in the Lower Peninsula.  The top three teams, along with selected individuals from other teams, advance to states.  Marquette has home hill advantage in the state finals.

The Kingsford boys were second and the girls third at their Division Two regional at Marquette Mountain.   The D-2 state finals are at Boyne Mountain.
