MTU's Haidar collects more weekly honors

Michigan Technological University senior forward Ali Haidar was named the GLIAC North Division Men's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 35 points in a 86-59 win over Bemidji State.

The Windsor, Ontario, native shot 13-18 from the field including 4-of-5 3-pointers. He also shot 5-of-7 from the free throw line and grabbed eight rebounds. Haidar is averaging 29.7 points per game this season and is currently 12th in scoring at Michigan Tech with 1,361 points.
