Michigan Tech senior forward Ali Haidar was named the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week after he scored 55 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in a pair of games last week.
The Windsor, Ont., native opened the season with a double-double scoring a season-high 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 75-67 win at Southwest Minnesota State. He also had three assists, one block and one steal. He followed up with 22 points and five rebounds against Minn. Duluth. Haidar currently ranks 14th in career scoring at Michigan Tech with 1,326 points.
