Michigan Technological University senior guard Sam Hoyt was named the GLIAC North Player of the Week after she became the first basketball player, man or woman, to record a triple double in school history. The Arkansaw, Wisconsin native scored 18 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in a 90-80 win over Concordia-St. Paul on Nov. 10. Hoyt, who earned Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American honorable mention honors last season, made all six of her free throws and had two steals in the contest.
