Lindsey Van Rooy scored twice and Jenna Phelps made eight saves to lead the Michigan Tech women's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Ferris State Sunday (Oct. 21). The Huskies improve to 11-3-1 overall and 9-1-1 in league play.

"Our ladies played a fantastic game today," said head coach Michelle Jacob. "We stayed composed in a very physical game. We possessed the ball well and we finished two great goals. We did a great job sticking to our game plan, and the end result was very positive."

Van Rooy scored in the 63rd and 80th minutes for the Huskies.
Katie Boardman assisted on Tech's second goal.

Tech out-shot Ferris 18-11 and 11-8 in shots on goal. Both teams had three corner kicks.

Tech will host Malone Friday (Oct. 26) at 5 p.m.
