NEGAUNEE TWP. -- TV6 and FOX UP have been designated by the Green Bay Packers as the official Packers Stations in the Upper Peninsula.
President and CEO, Rob Jamros commented, “We have been working with the FOX and NBC networks in assessing the Upper Michigan market and taking viewer comments into consideration as we decide which NFL team best represents this market. Since it turned out the Packers are the most popular team in our viewing area, the decision was easy. Further we’re excited that FOX UP and TV6 can bring primarily Packers games to fans in the region as well as a great line up of Lions games, too.”
Therefore, FOX UP will be requesting primarily Green Bay Packers games from the FOX Network as part of its NFL broadcasts this season. In addition to regular season games on FOX UP, TV6 will be carrying pre-season Packers games on three Thursdays in August--the 16th, 23rd and 30th--and regular season NBC Sunday Night Football clashes on October 14, November 25 and December 9.
TV6 and FOX UP will broadcast a total of 10 Detroit Lions games this season.
FOX UP and TV6 will also carry the half-hour Packers programs “Inside Lambeau” and “The Mike McCarthy” show each weekend beginning August 19.
