The two teams missed just two free throws combined. Tech finished 18-of-19 (95-percent) and Saginaw was 14-15 (93-percent).

Tech (14-11, 12-6) led 42-27 at half and led by as many as 31 with three minutes remaining.

"I like the way that we shared the basketball and played defense," said head coach Kevin Luke.

Junior Ali Haidar tallied his 13th double-double of the season scoring a game-high 25 points and 10 rebounds. The Windsor, Ont., native shot 7-of-11 from the field and tied the school record for free throw shooting percentage making all 10 free throws.
