Jaime Roberts of the No. 15-ranked Northern Michigan indoor track and field team has been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Field "Athlete of the Week".

Roberts, a sophomore from Iron Mountain, Mich. (Kingsford High School), broke NMU’s pole vault record for the third time this season on Saturday (Feb. 18) at the lone Wildcat home meet. Roberts cleared 12 feet, 8 inches at the Northern Challenge. She is the top ranked vaulter in the country and is a provisional qualifier for NCAA Nationals.

The Wildcats travel to Findlay, Ohio this week for the GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship. Roberts was third at last year’s conference championship. Last season the ‘Cats finished third at the event.
