HOUGHTON -- The Michigan Tech women’s basketball teams strong defense was on display Saturday (Feb. 11) at the SDC Gymnasium as the Huskies defeated Lake Superior State 72-43 in GLIAC action. The Huskies lead the league in scoring defense allowing 57.0 points per game and improve to 16-5 overall and 11-4 in the league.

“Today was our best team win of the year,” said head coach Kim Cameron. “Our starters set the tone and everyone kept it up.”

Tech opened the game on a 17-0 run and held Lake Superior State scoreless until junior Maria Blazejewski made a free throw at the 9:43 mark.
