Beauchamp one of the many local drivers to be seen at the Off Road Races
BARK RIVER -- One of the many local drivers you'll see this weekend at the Off Road Races will be Escanaba's Danny Beauchamp.
The 27 year old is a five-year veteran of the Super Stock Truck series and sits in 8th place in the points standings.
Beauchamp has been improving every week after two 12th place finishes to start the year, going 6th, 5th then 2nd since the opening weekend disaster which he says was mechanical in nature.
"We're really fast, point situation not the greatest. We lost two engines in the first two weekends of the series so that hurt us, but we're really fast, we're always out front. If we keep our mechanical issues down, we'll be doing really well."
Danny's cousin, Scott Beauchamp from Bark River, is the overall points leader in Super Stock Truck after winning the last three races.
You may remember Danny rolling his car over in Crandon, Wisconsin back in 2009. Local Wisconsin companies helped him repair the totaled car with spare parts and eventually got it back on the track 24 hours later.

This year was suppose to be the debut of Rally Car at the Bark River International Raceway, but those races have been cancelled according to the Bark River International website.
