MARQUETTE -- Northern Michigan University's Berry Event Center will be the site of the United States Speedskating Short Track National Team Camp Monday through Saturday, July 18-23. There are 22 athletes and four coaches attending the camp, which includes both dry-land and on-ice training.
"We know to improve for Team USA and US Speedskating, we need more athletes, and the USOEC Racing Program is one of our most important partners in growing our sport," said Jae Su Chun, Head Coach of US Speedskating's Short Track Team. "That's one of the biggest reasons we are coming to Marquette. We look forward to sharing our program and training experience with the Marquette group. The Berry Event Center is a great facility--the ice is great and the athletes really appreciate having a dorm and cafeteria on site," he added.
