MARQUETTE -- Doug Lewis, Jr., head men's basketball coach at Northern Michigan University, announces the addition of Kendall Jackson from Lima, Ohio to play basketball for the Wildcats next season.

Jackson is a 6-foot-5 forward and played for Lima Senior High School.  He was a first team selection in the Greater Buckeye Conference and special mention by the Associated Press in the Northwest District.

Jackson averaged 13.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds.

"We wanted to upgrade our team speed and athleticism, and adding an athlete like Kendall has allowed us to achieve our recruiting goals," said Lewis.  "Kendall's athleticism reminds me of our current player DeAndre Taylor.  They both play above the rim and shoot the ball well from 17 feet.  Kendall is a great fit for my up tempo style of play and has a chance to be a special player in a Wildcat uniform."

"Kendall is a great student who has an overall grade-point average of 3.2, and we want to recruit athletes who will also get it done in the classroom.  I am truly excited about our recruiting class as we try to improve the talent on our roster."
