Rocket bats stay silent in 12-0 loss to powerful Unionville-Sebewaing
BATTLE CREEK -- The dream of a state softball title will have to wait for the Rapid River girls, at least for one more season. The Rockets fell to an offensively strong Unionville-Sebewaing team today (6/17) in Battle Creek.
Kelsey Schaus went the distance, pitching all six innings, striking out eight, giving up only three hits. Ashley Hough had two of those hits while Heather Sanderson had the other. Stephaine Neuman had four RBIs to lead the Unionville-Sebewaing attack.
Sanderson pitched all six innings as well, giving up nine earned runs, walking four and striking out seven.
