EAST LANSING (AP) -- Mateen Cleaves and Morten Andersen are headed into the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame.

The school announced Thursday the class of Cleaves, Andersen, Kisha Simpson, Dana Cooke and Charles McCaffree Jr. will be honored Sept. 22 during an induction ceremony.

Cleaves led the Spartans to their second basketball national championship in 2000. Andersen left campus in 1981 as the football program's all-time leading scorer.

Kisha Simpson, whose maiden name is Kelley, finished her career in 1995 as the women's basketball program's all-time leading scorer.

Cooke led the volleyball team to its first national semifinal in 1995.

McCaffree coached the men's swimming and diving teams from 1941-69, the longest run by a coach in program history.
