Freshman pole vaulter Jaime Roberts is the lone Northern Michigan University athlete heading to the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, Calif. will host the championships May 26-28.
Roberts is ranked ninth in the pole vault at the championships. She cleared, a school record, 12-3.5 to qualify last weekend at the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open.
