Copper Country fares well at Norway Boys Golf Invite

Hancock, behind solid play from Dylan Peterson and Brett Hauswirth, captured the Norway Invitational high school boys golf tournament at Oak Crest Golf Course Friday.

The Bulldogs, with Peterson posting a one-over 73 for runner-up medalist and Hauswirth adding a 78, tallied 328 to turn back Copper Country rival Houghton at 336.

Manistique standout Mike Nagy, bolstered by a 33 on the front nine, carded a 70 for medalist.

Six golfers fired sub-80 rounds including Dustin Dishaw, Forest Park, 76; Eric Aderman, Kingsford, 77, and Joe Larson, Chassell, 79.
