INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay says he's worried that a bill moving in the state Legislature would prevent the banning of guns from Lucas Oil Stadium during the team's games.

A bill sponsor, however, says the legislation that prevents most gun bans by local governments doesn't stop a sports team from setting its own attendance rules.

Irsay says the Colts rely on the city agency that owns the stadium to enforce the team's weapons ban. Colts attorney Dan Emerson said the bill's provisions would prevent a city agency from doing that.

Republican Sen. Brent Steele of Bedford tells WTHR-TV that by purchasing a game ticket, a fan agrees to abide by the team's rules. The bill has been approved by the state Senate and is pending with the House.
