FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - NMU's Reid Ellingson has been named the RBC Financial Group Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Player of the Month for November.  This is the first time Ellingson has received the honor.

The junior goaltender for the ‘Cats led the CCHA and nation in both goals against average and saves percentage for the month of November.  Ellingson had a .996 save percentage and a 1.14 goals against average.  He started in 7-of-8 games for the ‘Cats, producing a record of 4-2-1, and is ranked second in the CCHA and 19th overall for win percentage in November.

Ellingson was named CCHA Goaltender of the Week for the last two weeks for his performances against Alaska (Nov. 19-20) and Bemidji State (Nov. 26-27).  In the Alaska series, he stopped 75-of-77 shots, and recorded a 86 goals-against average for the weekend.  Against Bemidji, Ellingson recorded 37 saves on 37 shots on Friday (Nov. 36) in the 4-0 wildcat victory.  In the game, he also earned his second shut out of college career.  Ellingson ended the Bemidji series with 71 total saves and .973 save percentage.
