The L'Anse and Baraga co-operative high school hockey team will add a third partner for this season, provided the Michigan High School Athletic Association agrees with the idea.
West Iron County will join the two Baraga County schools with L'Anse remaining as the primary school in charge.
A Wykon administrator hopes at least six players will try out for the team this winter.
West Iron and L'Anse have completed all the paperwork and received the necessary approvals from their respective school boards.
The co-operative agreement would last two seasons.
