Carney Nadeau moving on to Class D Final Four

SAULT STE. MARIE -- Wade Schetter poured in 30 points as the Carney Nadeau boys basketball team overcame a two point halftime deficit to defeat Pellston 72-56 in the Class D State Quarterfinals at Sault Ste. Marie High School.

The Wolves fell behind 9-2 early in the first quarter but closed the gap to 23-21 by halftime. Late in the third quarter, Carney Nadeau went on a 15-1 run which spilled into the fourth.

Keenan Lampinen and Lucas Moreau both chipped in 18 points for Carney Nadeau.

Pellston was led by Class D Player of the Year Christopher Hass who had 30 points. Hass has committed to play basketball at Bucknell University in the Fall. The Hornets were ranked second in Class D in the last regular season Associated Press Poll.

Carney Nadeau moves on to play Climax-Scotts Thursday (3/22) at 7:50 et/6:50 central time in East Lansing on the campus of Michigan State University.
