MTU's Haidar earns third straight GLIAC accolade

Michigan Technological University senior Ali Haidar was named the GLIAC North Division Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third straight week after scoring 68 points in a pair of wins against Northwood and Lake Superior State last week.

The Windsor, Ont., native broke or tied five school records during the week. Haidar tied the single game record for free throws made (18) and attempted (20) in a game against Lake Superior State and established new marks for season free throws made (173) and attempted (230). He has 22 20-point games this season, most in school history.
