Police investigate suspicious death

WEST BRANCH TOWNSHIP -- The Michigan State Police say they're investigating a suspicious death in West Branch Township.

The body of a 56 year-old male was found by state police outside a burned out vehicle around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

It was located on County Road JH in West Branch Township about a mile from the man's residence. The man was reported missing earlier by a family member.

The name of the man is expected to be released following an autopsy on Thursday.
