HANCOCK -- A prom fashion show is being held in Hancock this Sunday to display latest trends and fashions for prom this year.

The show will be at the Finnish American Heritage Center at 3 p.m. and is open to everyone.

Models will be wearing dresses of all styles, sizes, and colors. Prizes will also be given away to the audience for dinner reservations and corsages.

Lauren Jarvinen, a senior in fiber and fashion at Finlandia, says the show is meant to get students excited for the last event of the school year.

"Prom is kind of like that last 'hurrah,' like the last dance. You get to splurge, get a really pretty dress, do your hair, nails, make-up, rent a limo, things like that," said Lauren Jarvinen, fashion show coordinator.

Prom dresses from Celebrations in Hancock will be featured in the show as well as some bridal gowns.
