MENOMINEE COUNTY -- The Menominee County Sheriff's Department has released information regarding a fatal snowmobile crash that happened on Friday at 11:15 p.m.

According to the sheriff's department, 24-year-old Timothy Dean Graham was killed when his snowmobile collided with a tree on the Cedar River waterway.

The Menominee County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the crash, but they believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the incident. A Michigan State Police accident investigator is assisting in the investigation.

Authorities said that Graham was wearing a helmet and other protective equipment.
