WAKEFIELD -- The 64-year-old Wakefiled man arrested for allegedly rummaging through trash bins at an Upper Peninsula high school has been arraigned in court.

Kenneth Patrick Tesch was charged with a misdemeanor charge of registered sex offender loitering within a school safety zone.

The Michigan State Police were contacted about Tesch's activities on November 20. Police said that Tesch had been allegedly looking through the trash for clothing and notes from the students.

Tesch will be back in Gogebic County District Court for a pretrial on December 17.
