HOUGHTON -- One Houghton Middle School student got to spend this past weekend on the Detroit Lions' football field.

Maggie Justinak was the first place winner in the girls 14 and 15-year-old division for the NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick competition.

The competition is based on how far you can punt, pass, and kick a football.

Maggie came home with a Lions jersey and a specialty football.

"I was really nervous to go on the field, but when I saw the football players, I got Calvin Johnson, Logan's and Moore's autograph," said Justinak.

Maggie didn't have a high enough score to make it to nationals, but she says her goal is to try again next year.
