Michigan Tech head men's basketball coach Kevin Luke announced that two players, Luke Cordes (Ossineke, Mich.) and Quintan Harris (Bellevue, Mich.) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the team in 2013-14.

"Both of these men have great profiles. They are good in the classroom and at the game of basketball," said Luke. "I am excited about both their futures with our program."

Cordes (Cor-tis), a 6-7 forward, averaged 18.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game as a junior at Alpena (Mich.) High School. He was named one of the top-20 players in Class A by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan and was an All-Big North first team selection. He is the cousin of former men's basketball player Nate Kindt. Cordes was a member of the all-state academic team and National Honor Society. He plans to major in civil engineering.

"Luke is a very athletic versatile player that can play both inside and shoot the three," said Luke. "He will bring athleticism and length."

Harris, a 6-8 forward, averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a junior at Olivet (Mich.) High School. He earned first team all-conference accolades from the Kalamazoo Valley Association. Harris was a member of the prestigious Michigan Mustangs AAU team that won several national tournaments. He plans to major in mechanical engineering.

"We look forward to having Quintan join the team," said Luke. "He has good size and footwork that will make him a load inside.

"Our program continues to recruit, and we hope to sign a few more players in the late signing period."
