This week's "Game of the Week" is a rematch of a regular season showdown way back on September 12th in which the Miner's escaped with a 28-27 win over the Braves. Since then Negaunee has gone 7-1 and they have not lost a game this year at Miner's Stadium, going 6-0 including last week's triumph over defending State Champion Menominee in round one.

Gladstone has also played extremely well since the last time they ventured up to Marquette County going 6-1, with the sole loss coming on the road against Kingsford. Coach John Mileski, the Class ABC Coach of the Year, is sure to have a few new wrinkles in his spread offense for the Miner's and don't think Miner's Paul Jacobson won't have his defense up to the task.

Both teams boast explosive offenses with the Braves dynamic 'brother' duo of Kollin and Kyle Jensen at Quarterback and Running Back. Negaunee counters with QB Mario Marana running the show and running backs Cody Dagenais and Chad Cram pounding away at the defense.

The Miner's might be a little banged up from last weeks physical match up with the Maroons. Gladstone on the other hand got to rest plenty of their starters after jumping all over Elk Rapids 48-0 in the first round. The Miner's just got by Sept 12th against Gladstone and probably arn't nearly as fresh as the Braves this time around. After conferring with the Weather team here at TV6, it looks like a rain/snow mix for Saturday afternoon up by Teal Lake. This slightly favors the smash mouth style of the Miner's and they are at home in front of what I'm told will be a rocking crowd.

The PICK: I may live in Negaunee, but hopefully none of the Miner faithfuls know where, take the Braves 24-21.
