Sunnuntaina Marraskuun 29..tulemme naytamaan Documentary jota UlkoSuomalaistarina nauhatti Vuosi 2005. On Sunday November 29th, Two very special presentations on Suomi Kutsuu...first, as it will be the First Sunday of Advent, a Finnish Choir will sing HOSIANNA..with video of the Washington Cathedral; and secondly, the Documentary of Suomi Kutsuu/Finland Calling will air for the first time in this Country! I hope you will enjoy both! Hei Kalle

Marraskuun terveiset! November greetings to all! Its interesting to note, in the Finnish language, November is the ONLY month that has R's in its spelling and there are two of them. MARRASKUU How about that? Eiko ole mukava?

The first Sunday, being November 1st, will as its first song, a nice polka by SATTUAMA

a Karelian Folk Music Quartet featuring two fathers, a daughter and a son. Arto Rinne, who has appeared several times on Suomi Kutsuu writes, thanks to James Kurtti, they are taking part at an International song contest in the Netherlands. If you are interested, you can vote for them by going to this web site http://www.liet.ni/en/internationaal/programma/ There will be a few pictures, too, of a young couple who had a post nuptial party at the Ramada Inn of Marquette on Saturday October 24th which Doris and I attended. Best wishes to Greg and Carrie Meyer! Also I present one more commercial about Prostate Cancer and my comments about it for Marquette General Hospital. The second Sunday's Finland Calling program will feature a guest from Finland currently at Michigan Tech. Her name is Ulla Aatsinki of Salla, Finland. She is here in the U-P doing research on Finns in American Education during the 1930's. The next day following taping on November 4 with Ms Aatsinki, we leave by bus for Branson Missouri, returning on Wednesday November 11. Because of having a guest on November 15th, I'll not air my Documentary until the next Sunday.

Thanksgiving is coming up this month...and we'll be enjoying the Bird, in Rio Rancho New Mexico this year...staying with daughter and son-in-law till December 1st. There will be lots of music each Sunday, too, and hopefully, I'll be able to acknowledge your requests at the same time.

One more note...Remember! December 6th is the day when Finns everywhere celebrate the Republic of Finlands Independance Day! We're going to be celebrating at the Ishpeming Elks Lodge in the afternoon on that Sunday with a program and dance, music featuring Wil Kilpela and Friends. Also, I am pleased to announce, there will be a special guest speaker for the event..She is a Minister at the Embassy and Assistant Chief of Missions, Anne Lammila. I hope you folks, who are living in the area, will plan to attend this event! Details will be announced on upcoming Suomi Kutsuu programs. One other note about Finlands Independance Day, it will also be celebrated on the Campus of Finlandia University Hancock Michigan! Onnea Olkoon..for the 92nd Year of Independance for the Republic of Finland! I'll have further details to bring you in a few days...please watch for them! Paljon terveisiä teille ja Suuret Halaukset, too! Voika hyvin! Stay healthy...get a flu shot! Hei Hei Kalle
