Marquette General Hospital responds to security concerns

MARQUETTE -- Marquette General Hospital responded to a statement from the MGH nurses on Thursday regarding an incident involving a patient and a knife.
MGH officials said that they are working closely with law enforcement officials on the incident involving the knife that happened on Saturday, January 5. They added that they plan to use the incident on Saturday as a means of examining options for further strengthening safety procedures at the hospital.
Nurses at MGH asked for a meeting with hospital administrators in a statement released on Wednesday. They were looking for an investigation into the incident involving the patient and the knife, with a close look at hospital security.
