The Michigan State Police has announced the arrests of 51 non-compliant sex offenders.

The arrests took place in October during "Operation Verify," an initiative meant to enforce compliance with Michigan's sex offender law.

The statewide operation was made up of over 90 federal and state agencies.

Under Michigan law, registered sex offenders are required to regularly verify their address with their local law enforcement agency.
